DIY: Hex Nut Bracelet and Necklace

Giles and Brother has a line of Hex Nut jewelry that is ingenious. They are edgy and modern and so unique. Despite how much I love them I cant afford to pay $185 for the bracelet and $135 for the necklace pictured here, so I made my own.

To make the bracelet I used the tutorial at Honestly...WTF

I used 1/4 zinc hex nuts but I think smaller ones would have worked better. the Larger hex nuts make the bracelet heavy.

The Necklace was ridiculously easy to make.

I used a beaded chain and added 4 hex nuts to it... and that was it.

I made everything here for under $10 and the only reason that its that high is because the twine was sold in 50 yard increments.

I love Giles and Brothers jewelry but I cant afford it so this is my DIY alternative.
Hope you enjoy it :)
